Topics include the application of reading instruction to content areas; the organization and management of classroom reading programs; the development and/or selection of specific objectives for reading instruction; a survey of factors which contribute to difficulties in literacy education, techniques for evaluating student progress, and programs and procedures for strengthening literacy learning; and communication of information to administrators, parents, teachers and students. Field experience is a required part of the course. Prerequisite: TED365. Spring.
