Focuses on skills necessary for writing in the social and physical sciences. Basic principles of rhetoric and how those principles apply to clear and accurate science writing. Students will create a variety of documents, including lab reports, summaries, and abstracts. Significant library and internet research, which students will use to write proposals, literature reviews, instructions, and references/works cited pages in several documentation styles. (Prerequisite: English 101.) Offered once a year.
