This course is the first of two in social work research. The foundational concepts and methodology used for scientific practice, including the investigation and evaluation of social work practice problems, an understanding of techniques and issues in measurements, options in research designs, data collection and analysis, and the development of new knowledge in agencies and programs with particular reference to the advanced generalist perspective.
