Independent readings in a selected topic encountered in a previous course or not covered in any existing course. Courses in the existing curriculum are not ordinarily offered as independent study. Students may not apply more than six credits (singly or combined) of PSY 399 and PSY 499 toward a major in psychology. Offered every academic year. Prerequisites: PSY 101 and permission of instructor.
