Contemporary concepts, hypotheses, and research in small-group theory. Students will study the ways groups affect the behavior, thinking, motivation, and adjustment of individuals as well as the effect of an individual?s characteristics on groups. Principles will be applied to particular kinds of groups, including therapy groups and family groups. Offered every academic year. Prerequisite: PSY 101 or HNR 234 or SOC 101.
