Supervised individual research in an area of interest to the student which culminates in a research paper and oral report. Offered fall and winter semesters. Prerequisites: junior status and permission of the instructor supervising the research. A maximum of six credits in PLS 399 and PLS 499 and no more than nine credits in PLS 399, PLS 499, and PLS 490 may be taken. Graded credit/no-credit.
