Ecologists study how nature functions. Students will explore emergent properties of natural systems on scales ranging from individuals to ecosystems, and they will study the application of ecological principles to environmental problems caused by global climate change and other anthropogenic disturbances. Intended for biology and natural resources management majors. (3-0-3) Offered fall and spring/summer semesters. Prerequisite: BIO 121.
