Detailed study of the freshwater algae of the Great Lakes region. Topics will include the morphology, ecology, physiology, and evolutionary relationships of the major groups. Methods of collection will also be presented, and considerable emphasis given to identification of the regional flora. (2-0-4) Cross-listed with BIO 513. Offered winter semester.
