This course is designed to provide an in-depth understanding of the use, misuse and addictive use of mood altering substances. This course will cover a variety of topics ranging from the physiological effects of alcohol and other addictive chemicals to the treatment of addiction. This is not a "counseling" course but rather is intended to provideessential information towards understanding alcohol, drugs and addiction. Student must have at least junior standing to register for this course.
