This course is designed for advanced ESL learners who are new to the American experience. This course focuses on an awareness of American and world cultures and an ability to analyze language as a reflection of culture and history. The student will study American language fluency, acculturation to North America and its system of higher education, and selfrealization and awareness of issues facing responsible global citizenship. Prerequisites: TOEFL score of 520, Hum 113, or consent of instructor.
