A focus on the decision-making process of the United States Supreme Court. The course will include the analysis of major court cases through examination of the justices' majority and minority opinions. The cases and opinions will provide insight into the legal resolution of key social political and economic issues that confront the nation. The course will also examine the operation of the federal court system with a specific focus on the behind-thescenes operation of the Supreme Court. Prerequisite: PSC 201
