3 hrs. An introduction to computer networks. The fundamentals of modern networking theory are covered. The course includes the terminology and technology of basic through state-of-the-art networking hardware and software. Network system concepts are examined from a wide range of applications including small work groups, local area networks, wide area networks, and global networking and modern network technology and applications including Wi-Fi, Microsoft Networks and CISCO routers. The course covers the material necessary for taking the Network+ certification exam. Prerequisite: EET 211L ( Offered Spring)
