The essentials of voice production, breath control, and diction. The student is given a chance to critically observe classmates and to observe successful vocalists through the use of multimedia resources. Several compositions are assigned each semester to all students enrolled, in order to develop mastery of vocal essentials. A competency-based approach to instruction is used. Prerequisite: None.
