3 hrs. Designed to introduce the student to a wide range of industrial automatic controls. The programmable logic controller is the base of study with the emphasis on programming. Included are the various types of transducers common to the industrial environment and the interfacing of I/O devices to the PLC. Modes of control, process response, and the final correcting devices are discussed. Prerequisite: EET 231 ( Offered Fall)
