A course involving an analysis of the linkage between science and technology by focusing on collective behavior as the consequences of the interplay between abstract principles and practical application. Social change is treated as inherent in the characteristics of social systems (i.e., social organization and social behavior aspects of human experience) such that the various collective activities are ordered in some sequence of a cyclical pattern of recurrence.
