(3) This course will explore fitness assessment and exercise prescription for special populations. The effects of exercise on the process of aging will be examined. The special needs of those individuals with various medical conditions will be explored. Research in the areas of exercise physiology and medicine will serve as resources for the development of safe and effective exercise programs for individuals with special needs. Prerequisites: MOVP 0108 and MOVP 0205.
