provides the fundamental background of a GIS. Students will be introduced to the basic computer skills, map interpretation, and structure of digital graphic databases necessary to develop a GIS. Open to all majors this course trains students to think "Geographically" for a variety ofdisciplines and to apply these skills in the analysis of real life problems. The course will blend lecture with applied computer labs to learn how to analyze the world. No prerequisites.
