(3) This course will provide vocational technical educators with an overview of the Federal and State Special Education Laws and Regulations and how they are implemented in schools in Massachusetts. Students will learn about the elements of an Individualized Education Program (IEP) and the roles of special and general educators. Students will also learn how to design curriculum and instruction using the information on the IEP and how to modify their related classrooms and vocational technical shops/laboratories to accommodate students with disabilities.
