Introduction to fundamental concepts of investments with an emphasis on the evaluation of financial securities. Topics include the operation of financial markets, how securities are bought and sold, economic and industry analysis, and financial statement analysis. The objective is to familiarize students with basic concepts and discuss issues critical to making sound investment decisions.
