An introductory study of the microorganisms with emphasis on Bacteriology. Consideration of clinical and environmental aspects, principles of structure, metabolism, and genetics of procaryotes. Laboratory includes basic techniques for study, enumerations and identification of bacteria. Prerequisite: BIOL 0129; two semesters of General Chemistry recommended.
