An upper division course designed to provide the student with an in depth examination of the structures, functions, adaptations, and evolutionary relationships among animal phyla. The evolutionary development of major systems and characteristics of the major groups will also be covered. Attention is given to the evolutionary and ecological interaction of animals and their environment. Prerequisite: BIOL 201 Cell and Molecular Biology; BIOL 220 Principles of Genetics; BIOL 324 Ecology or consent of instructor
