The course offers a comparative overview of Judaism, Christianity and Islam in their comparative histories, varying theological and ethical centers, and scriptures. While the course examines all three religions from a single disciplinary perspective (i.e. religious studies), the comparative method invites questions that may only be appreciated by imposing methods and assumptions from other disciplinary, i.e., nonreligious studies, perspectives.
