Provides upper-level students the opportunity to receive instruction and to gain experience in off-campus, professional theatre settings. Internships are arranged with qualified professionals at area Equity houses (Virginia Stage Company, Virginia Opera Association), dinner theatre, and city recreation departments. Students have a minimum of ten contact hours per week with supervisors and confer regularly with a VWC faculty member. Students receive evaluations from supervisors and keep a journal of the internship experience. Prerequisites: junior/senior status and consent. Offered each semester.
