Introduces students to the various disabling conditions that typically receive therapeutic recreation services. Adaptive, corrective and progressive therapeutic recreation techniques are explored for approximately 50 disabling conditions. The course focuses on treatment protocols as related to specific disorders, their characteristics in the four functional domains, and the habilitative or rehabilitative goals established for each.
