Prepares students to work with families to provide successful transitions of students with disabilities throughout the educational experience to include postsecondary training, employment, and independent living that addresses an understanding of long-term planning, career development, life skills, community experiences and resources, self-advocacy, and selfdetermination, guardianship and legal considerations. Students learn to routinely and effectively collaborate with families, other educators, related service providers, and personnel from community agencies in culturally responsible ways. Prerequisite: SPED 371. Corequisite: SPED 382. Offered each spring.
