An introduction to chemical concepts. Mathematical methods are used when appropriate. The salient features of atomic structure, chemical bonding, and the mole concept are stressed. Designed for science-oriented students with inadequate background for CHEM 117. Also suitable for non-science majors. Lecture three hours. Prerequisite: MATH 105, equivalent, or consent.
