Second course, in a series of three, prepares experienced interpreters with skills and knowledge to become mentors and resources for less experienced or entry-level interpreters. Focuses on philosophy and methodology of various assessment and evaluation strategies that can be applied to interpretation. Students examine the purpose and value of interpretation assessment, evaluate sample assessment tools, and develop diagnostic instruments that can be used with working interpreters and interpreting students.
