Historical, philosophical and legal basis of services in early childhood with particular emphasis on family systems theory, Individualized Family Service Plans, family-focused intervention and multicultural environments. Methods of assessment and delivery of services are discussed along with major issues in the field of Early Intervention/Early Childhood Special Education (IE/ECSE).
