Introduction to services for infants, toddlers and preschool children with disabilities or at risk, and their families. Historical, philosophical and legal basis of services in early childhood with particular emphasis on family systems theory, Individualized Family Service Plans, family-focused intervention and multicultural environments. Methods of assessment and delivery of services are discussed along with major issues in the field of Early Intervention/Early Childhood Special Education (IE/ECSE).
