Course provides students with the pedagogical content knowledge for teaching creative and recreational forms of dance within the K-12 physical education curriculum. Emphasis will be placed on analysis and practice of developmentally appropriate dance elements, skills, techniques, and movement progressions; choreographic tools and structures; rhythmic skills; lesson organization and instructional strategies; and student assessment/evaluation techniques.
