The study of computational skills, geometry, probability and statistics, data collection, and number theory in applied problem solving. Extensive use of group activities, technology, and real-world applications are used to gain an understanding of the underlying mathematics and an appreciation of the utility and value of mathematics. Two hours of lecture plus two hours of lab. Does not apply toward a math major/minor. Prerequisite: MTH 396 with a grade of C- or better or consent of instructor
