A study of the history, philosophy and theory of the use of physical evidence in the US criminal justice system. Focus on the legal requirements for handling and processing forensic evidence and includes the study of the exclusionary rule and other relevant legal processes. Crime scene procedures, including the recognition, collection, processing and preservation of physical evidence.
