Introduces students to the strategies and skills necessary to help local government and their communities become more effective in creating safe, vigilant, prepared and resilient communities for homeland security (i.e. natural and manmade disasters, crime and social deviance, acts of terrorism, and community enhancement). The course bridges the core strategies and philosophies of community policing and homeland security.
