Course provide an introduction to both the construction of knowledge-based systems and the study of the underlying inference mechanisms. Both diagnostic and constructive systems will be studied. Additional topics may include the study of the development of expertise, the testing and maintenance of knowledge-based systems and their potential impact upon organizations.
