An introductory workshop in writing short fiction. Students will engage in a thorough study of the elements of fiction. Studies in this class may include the following: reading texts about the fiction writing process; reading established writer's fiction as models, prompts, and inspirations; engaging in various fiction writing exercises; writing short stories; and having short stories critiqued in a workshop setting.
