This course will take an empirical approach to the psychological study of persuasion and social influence. Major topics will include attitudes and attitude change, the attitude-behavior relationship, interpersonal and group influence, resistance, strategies and techniques of persuasion and influence, and the impact of culture, personality and gender on these processes.
