The relationship between the spatial needs of human beings and the structure of their physical environment. Special attention is given to the phylogenetic analysis of spatial needs; theories of spatial behavior; assessement techniques and methodologies of environmental psychology; and practical implications for structuring human environments. Studies will be conducted both inside and outside the classroom to give the student firsthand research experience. Alternate spring semester.
