A background course covering the development of the testing movement, individual differences, individual and group testing, test construction and the present state of the field. Individual and group tests are demonstrated and certain collateral tools such as scaling methods, item analysis, profile interpretation, and the theory of difference scores aer studied. Emphasis is also placed on construction of achievement tests for classroom use. Spring semester.
