This course is a qualititative and semi-quantitative introduction to mesoscale (regional scale) meteorology. Topics to be discussed include mesoscale waves, multicell and supercell thunderstorms, squall lines, mesoscale convective systems and complexes, mesoscale fronts and jets, and severe weather outbreaks.
