The two-semester course is intended for students who have a basic understanding of meteorology and would like to apply that understanding to practical forecasting problems. Weather systems are analyzed, prediction techniques are studied and forecasts are prepared on a routine basis. WestConn's Meteorological Studies and Weather Center will be utilized to receive worldwide data for the prepartion of forecasts. Pre/Corequisite: MTR 175 or permission of instructor (3 hrs. lecture - 2 hrs. laboratory). For MTR 231: MTR 230. (3 hrs lecture - 2 hrs laboratory)
