Focus will be on the study of problems of children who have discrepancies between ability and achievement. Types of learning disabilities and their etiology, including physiological aspects, will be explored. Study of the disabilities of perception, cognition, and communication as they pertain to intellectual development and classroom performance will be approached through research, case studies, and field experience. Interdisciplinary resources will be used.
