A study of advanced techniques of conducting, score reading, musical style, materials, and repertoire in the instrumental and vocal media. Emphasis is placed on physical exercises and coordination of the mind and hands, as well as musical terms necessary for proper interpretation of musical scores. Students conduct in both class and laboratory situations with College ensembles. Offered in alternate years (spring 2009). Prerequisites: MUS 250 with minimum grade of "C."
