1 Cr. (WTC course 420373) In this course students will learn the basic principles of metallurgy related to mechanical, physical and chemical properties of metals used in manufacturing. Metals covered include steel, cast iron, and tools steels. Lab activities will include hardening, tempering and hardness testing. This course will give the ability to make material selections and perform problem solving for specifi c applications that they will encounter in industry.
