A study of advanced topics in organic chemistry including the planning and carrying out of multistep syntheses, the investigation of reaction mechanisms, the separation and identifi cation of organic compounds by physical, chemical, and spectroscopic methods, and the examination of a variety of polymer systems. Prerequisites: grade of C or higher in 240, 340, 360.
