MEE 370 - Finite Element Analysis

Institution:
Vaughn College of Aeronautics and Technology
Subject:
Description:
- 4 credits (3 credits lecture and 1 credit lab) In this course students will be introduced to the numerical solution in the form of finite element for the many engineering problems. Topics covered include calculus of variation, derivation of Euler equations for the bar, heat transfer and beam type problems, and developments of finite element formulation with application to the engineering problems. For the lab portion of this course students will learn to implement Nastran-Patran finite element software in modeling, designing and solving engineering problems. Prerequisites: MEE340 and MEE220
