- 3 credits Basic control systems using Laplace transforms will be covered in this course, in addition to principles of electromechanical control systems. Other topics include servomechanism components, operational amplifiers, block diagram algebra, transfer functions, steady state and transient analysis of second order systems, frequency response analysis and bode plots. Two hours of lecture will be supplemented by equivalent systems and how they apply to beams, trusses and frames. In addition, moments of inertia and friction are discussed. Prerequisite: MAT115, PHY120
