Course emphasis will be placed on recognition and special needs students labeled "exceptional" accordingto state and federal regulations. Effective instructional strategies for teaching populations such as "gifted", and "students at risk" for school failure, visually impaired, physically challenged, speeclanguage handicaps, and behavior disorders will be studied. A fi eld experience of 30 clock hours is required. PREREQUISITE: Education 202 with a "C" or better.
