A survey of the history, organization and function of the various components of the criminal justice system; police, courts and corrections. Analysis of the decisions made in the process whereby citizens become suspects; suspects become defendants; some defendants are convicted; and in turn become probationers, inmates and parolees. Successful completion of this course with a grade of "C" or betteris required before a student can continue to take any other criminal justice courses.
