An introductory course for art majors focusing on understanding the visual language of design and its fundamental principles will be studied in depth, and this knowledge will be applied to create interesting and cohesive compositions. Using a variety of 2 D & 3 D media, students will use design elements & principles as a tool for expressing and recording ideas, emotions, and concepts. Six class hours per week. PREREQUISITE: status as an art major or ART 101.
