CLSE 405 - Process Synthesis

Semester course; 3 lecture hours. 3 credits. Prerequisites: CLSE 302, 305 and 312. A senior technical elective. Students synthesize flowsheets for existing and newly proposed chemical and biochemical products. Quantitative tools learned in earlier courses are used to examine the technical and economic feasibility of the flowsheets. Written biweekly status reports are required from each student and each student completes a process synthesis and analysis as a semester project. Formerly EGRC 405.
