Semester course; 3 workshop hours. 3 credits. May be repeated once for credit. Prerequisite: ENGL 304 or ENGL 305, or permission of instructor. Advanced study of the craft of literary nonfiction writing, with instruction and guidance toward constructive selfcriticism. Workshop members will be expected to produce a substantial volume of writing or a portion of a book-length work of nonfiction, and to become proficient in the critical analysis of literary nonfiction in order to evaluate and articulate the strength of their own work.
